28th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium

On Friday, October 17th, the OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) and physicians from OrthoCarolina's Foot & Ankle Institute hosted the 28th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium. The purpose of the day was to promote orthopedic education in the Southeast. This program was accredited for 7.0 hours of Continuing Medical Education by Charlotte AHEC.
This year the topic was "Advances in Operative and Non-Operative Treatments of Foot and Ankle Disorders." The keynote speaker was Mark Myerson, M.D., Director of the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center, in Baltimore, MD. Additional guest faculty included: Gregory Berlet, M.D., Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center, Columbus, OH; Mark Easley, M.D., Duke University Health System, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Durham, NC; Troy Watson, M.D., Desert Orthopaedic Center, Las Vegas, NV; and Tricia Hubbard, Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Department of Kinesiology.
Attendees included 279 healthcare professionals (144 providers and 135 allied health professionals) and 52 sponsor representatives.
