Sixth Annual Joint Celebration

The Sixth Annual Joint Celebration was held on April 18, 2008 at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte. The purposes of The Joint Celebration are to raise awareness of how successful total joint replacement has become and to highlight a returned quality of life for total joint patients. The all day event also provides a rare opportunity for one-on-one interactions and informal discussions among orthopedic physicians, orthopedic patients, and event sponsors.

28th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium

On Friday, October 17th, the OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) and physicians from OrthoCarolina's Foot & Ankle Institute hosted the 28th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium. The purpose of the day was to promote orthopedic education in the Southeast. This program was accredited for 7.0 hours of Continuing Medical Education by Charlotte AHEC.

4th Biannual Foot & Ankle Fellows Conference

Thirty-five (35) distinguished Foot and Ankle orthopedic surgeons from throughout the United States, representatives from industry, and representatives from the OrthoCarolina Research Institute, were invited to participate in an additional two day scientific conference, October 18-19, 2008. The purpose and format of this conference was based on a need for a forum where more complex and difficult issues could be raised and vigorously discussed.

Seventh Annual Joint Celebration

The Seventh Annual Joint Celebration was held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, NC and featured two community seminars on "Living Well with Arthritis/Living Well with a Total Joint Replacment," two 'Bionic Open' golf tournaments, and an afternoon Wellness Walk.

29th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium

On Friday, October 16th, the OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) and pediatric orthopedists from OrthoCarolina hosted the 29th Annual Oscar Miller Day Symposium. The purpose of the day was to promote orthopedic education in the Southeast. This program was accredited for 6.5 hours of Continuing Medical Education by Charlotte AHEC.

Eighth Annual Joint Celebration

The 8th Annual Joint Celebration will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, NC. The primary goal of The Joint Celebration is to raise awareness of the success of total joint replacement surgery and to celebrate a restored quality of life for ‘bionic’ patients (those with total joint replacements). The event includes a physician-led educational seminar, the Bionic Open golf tournament, a "Wellness Walk" and a Silent Auction.
